Biopsia de paratiroides

La biopsia de paratiroides se realiza como parte de un procedimiento quirúrgico para examinar y/ o extirpar las glándulas paratiroides debido a enfermedad. Estas glándulas pueden ser extirpadas por condiciones como el aumento de los niveles de calcio en la sangre o por un tumor. Están ubicadas cerca de la glándula tiroides y segregan la hormona paratiroidea (PTH), cuya función principal es la de controlar los niveles de calcio.Biopsia de paratiroides
