Anatomía del seno femenino normal
La mama o seno femenino está compuesta principalmente de tejido graso entremezclado con tejido conectivo y fibroso. La región circular alrededor del pezón, por lo general, tiene un color diferente, es decir, que es pigmentada. Esta región se llama areola.
