Síndrome de abstinencia neonatal

Es una afección que ocurre cuando una mujer embarazada toma medicamentos de venta con receta o drogas psicoactivas y adictivas durante el embarazo. Las drogas pasan a través de la placenta y alcanzan al bebé, quien se vuelve adicto junto con su madre. Al nacer, el bebé aún es dependiente de la droga. Debido a que el bebé ya no está recibiendo la droga después de nacer, se presentan síntomas de abstinencia.
