Neumotórax

La pleura es una membrana delgada que rodea los pulmones. El espacio entre la pleura y los pulmones generalmente es muy delgado. El neumotórax es la acumulación de aire o gas en este espacio alrededor de los pulmones, lo cual lleva a atelectasia pulmonar. La causa más común de neumotórax es un respirador (ventilador mecánico).
