Anillo vaginal

El anillo vaginal es un anillo flexible de aproximadamente 2 pulgadas (5,1 cms) de diámetro que se inserta dentro de la vagina y que libera progestágeno y estrógeno dentro del cuerpo para evitar el embarazo. La mujer se lo inserta ella misma, lo deja en la vagina durante 3 semanas y luego lo retira por una semana para tener el período. Al igual que otros métodos hormonales, se requiere prescripción por parte del médico.
