Exámenes de hipertensión

Antes de iniciar un tratamiento para presión sanguínea alta se recomiendan pruebas de laboratorio rutinarias para identificar lesiones de órganos o tejidos u otros factores de riesgo. Entre estas pruebas de laboratorio están: análisis de orina, conteo de células sanguíneas, química sanguínea (potasio, sodio, creatinina, glucosa en ayunas, colesterol total y colesterol de proteína de alta densidad y un ECG (electrocardiograma).
