Periodos dolorosos (dismenorrea)

La dismenorrea primaria es el cólico de abdomen bajo que normalmente causan las contracciones inducidas por hormonas, antes del periodo menstrual. La dismenorrea secundaria puede deberse a condiciones anormales, como la endometriosis o la enfermedad inflamatoria pélvica. A menos que una de estas condiciones potencialmente graves esté presente, el tratamiento para los periodos dolorosos consiste en aliviar el dolor.
