Glóbulos rojos drepanocíticos
Estos glóbulos rojos (GR) falciformes o en forma de media luna se presentan en la anemia de células falciformes y se diferencian bastante bien de los GR normales, que tienen una forma redondeada. Estas células con forma anormal pueden aumentar de tamaño y obstruir los vasos sanguíneos (capilares).
