Examen de las vías respiratorias superiores
La biopsia de las vías respiratorias superiores se obtiene utilizando un endoscopio flexible llamado broncoscopio. Éste se introduce a través de la boca y de la garganta y luego se extrae un pedazo de tejido, el cual es enviado al laboratorio. Este examen usualmente se realiza cuando se sospecha que puede haber una anomalía en las vías respiratorias superiores. También está indicado como parte de una broncoscopia en casos de anomalías que involucren las vías respiratorias superiores y el tejido pulmonar.
