Pletismografía

Definición

Es un examen utilizado para medir cambios en volumen en diferentes partes del cuerpo. Estos cambios en el volumen ayudan a verificar la circulación en muchas partes del cuerpo. Este examen se puede hacer para inspeccionar si hay coágulos sanguíneos en los brazos y las piernas o para medir cuánto aire puede usted contener en sus pulmones.

El registro del volumen del pulso peneano es un tipo de pletismografía que se hace en el pene para buscar causas de disfunción eréctil.
