Hiperplasia

Definición

Es el aumento en la producción de células en un órgano o tejido normal. Puede ser un signo de cambios anormales o precancerosos, lo cual se denomina hiperplasia patológica.

También puede deberse a la multiplicación de células completamente normales, lo cual se denomina hiperplasia fisiológica.
