Bacterias anaerobias

Definición

Son bacterias que no viven ni proliferan en presencia de oxígeno.

En los humanos, estas bacterias se encuentra con más frecuencia en el tracto gastrointestinal y juegan un papel en afecciones como apendicitis, diverticulitis y perforación del intestino.
