Baño de asiento

Definición

Es un baño de agua caliente o templada que se utiliza para propósitos curativos o de limpieza. Uno se sienta en el baño y el agua, que puede contener algún medicamento, cubre solamente las caderas y los glúteos.

Estos baños con frecuencia se utilizan para aliviar dolor, la picazón o los espasmos musculares. Los baños a menudo se recomiendan para aliviar el dolor y acelerar la curación después de una cirugía de hemorroides o una episiotomía.
