Granuloma necrosante

Definición

Un granuloma es una pequeña masa de células que se forma cuando el sistema inmunitario intenta combatir una sustancia dañina, pero no puede eliminarla del cuerpo.

Un granuloma necrosante es un área de inflamación en la cual el tejido ha muerto. Necrosante significa que muere o se pudre. Ver: necrótico.

La tuberculosis y la granulomatosis de Wegener son afecciones que causan granulomas necrosantes.
