Retreat and Refresh at Camp

The Retreat and Refresh Stroke Camp in Monticello lets stroke survivors and their caregivers enjoy a weekend of relaxation, activities, education, and fellowship in a camp environment, allowing both groups to get away from the routines of everyday life.

Jointly sponsored by University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City and St. Luke’s Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, both of Cedar Rapids, the camp provides an opportunity for survivors to spend time with other survivors, and for caretakers to meet with other caretakers.

The camp is held at the Camp Courageous campground in Monticello.
